DCPS Volunteer Application Requirements

To ensure the safety of students, Duval County Public Schools (DCPS) requires volunteers to complete an application and undergo a criminal background screening, free of charge, conducted by DCPS.

Alert! This is required for anyone who interacts with students (e.g., attending school parties and field trips as well as all volunteer activities such as Sunshine Math, library assistant, etc.).

Once the background screening process is completed, volunteers receive a
DCPS volunteer confirmation letter identifying them as authorized volunteers. The letter is good for two years.
